The principals of Mt. Wilson FM Broadcasters, Inc. (licensee of stations KKGO-FM, Los Angeles, California and KGIL-AM, Beverly Hills, California) own and control Global Jazz , Inc., which provides programming and supporting services for the California State University, Long Beach Foundation for the benefit of KKJZ-FM. Global Jazz, Inc. is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer. Statement of Supplemental EEO Outreach Activities:

1. Mt. Wilson Broadcasters, Inc. and Global Jazz, Inc. maintain an intern program designed to assist members of the community to acquire skills needed for broadcast employment. The program allows interns to gain hands on experience in various aspects of broadcast operations so that they may develop their skills for future broadcast employment. The interns are afforded the opportunity to work in many departments with experienced station personnel so as to gain a broad overview of the nature of the stations’ varied operations. During the period of August 1, 2008 - July 31, 2009, the companies have had many interns participating in the program. All of the university students participating in our intern program are in various stages of college studies.

2. Mt. Wilson FM Broadcasters, Inc. and Global Jazz Inc. participated in job/career fairs to promote employment in the broadcast field. Station personnel with substantial responsibility in making hiring decisions attend these job fairs.

All job fairs are attended by station representatives or managers.

           * On October 10, 2008, (a) Mt. Wilson Broadcasters, Inc, and (b) Global Jazz, Inc. Public Affairs Director, Denise Maynard, attended Think LA and Minority Advertising Training at Loyola Marymount University. This program is an outreach initiative designed to increase awareness of opportunities in the advertising media, broadcasting and print industries. Over 400 college students participated in the program.

          * On February 10, 2009, (a) Mt. Wilson Broadcasters, Inc, and (b) Global Jazz, Inc. Public Affairs Director, Denise Maynard, attended the NAACP Executive Diversity Job Fair at the Embassy Suites Hotel at Los Angeles Airport. Public Service Announcements for the Fair aired on KKGO and KGIL, January 28, 2009-February 1, 2009.

          * On April 16, 2009, (a) Mt. Wilson Broadcasters, Inc, and (b) Global Jazz, Inc. Public Affairs Director, Denise Maynard attended the Recruit Military Career Fair at the Queen Mary in Long Beach California. Over 300 veterans were in attendance and the event was produced in cooperation with the President’s National Hire Veterans Committee.

          * On May 20, 2009, (a) Mt. Wilson Broadcasters, Inc, and (b) Global Jazz, Inc. Public Affairs Director, Denise Maynard attended the Mega Job Fair, Community Outreach and Resource Fair in collaboration with Operation Confidence, a grass roots nonprofit organization who has been in the community for 28 years providing job preparation workshops, diversity training, creating employment opportunities and hosting job fairs that includes individuals with disabilities. The event took place at Los Angeles Valley College in Valley Glen California

3. From August 2008-December 2008- Global Jazz, Inc. aired EEO radio spots.

4. (a) Mt. Wilson Broadcasters, Inc, and (b) Global Jazz, Inc. General Counsel, Stephanie Levine attended Continuing Education sessions to further her knowledge on current Employment Laws and Legal Ethics.

5. On July 8-9, 2009, Global Jazz Inc., Station Manager, Stephanie Levine, Sales Manager, Kane Biscaya, Development Director, Pamela Aronovitz, Special Projects Manager, Denise Maynard attended an educational conference in San Diego that focused on further development of sales and management tools.
