29th annual Simi Valley Cajun & Blues Music Festival
Updated: 3/23/2018 13:42
The 29th Annual Simi Valley Cajun & Blues Music Festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, May 26th & 27th, 2018 and KJazz is the official radio sponsor.
2018 promises to continue the tradition of bringing fans a full weekend of nonstop award-winning entertainment, more food choices than you can sample in two days, and activities to keep kids of all ages entertained too.
There will be two stages, each with its own dance floor, with 17 bands playing 8 hours of continuous music for the two days. Plus, Cajun & Zydeco dance lessons between performances. The Blues stage features artists such as Dave Mason, Eddie Money, the Devon Allman Project with Duane Betts, The Chambers Brothers, and more! Performing on the second stage, which features Cajun & Zydeco music, are La Recolte, Lost Bayou Ramblers, Chubby Carrier & The Bayou Swamp Band, Bo Dollis, Jr. & The Wild Magnolias and more.
Plus, over dozens of food booths from Cajun & Creole to traditional barbeque, crafts and merchandise booths, and a Mardi Gras style parade.
Concertgoers will be pleased to know that this year the Festival has the green light on allowing pop-up tents, so folks can bring their own pop-up tents and enjoy some relief from the sun. There will be 30,000 square feet of shading and low back chairs are recommended for seating.
Single Day tickets are $30 for adults (ages 13 and over) per day, and $45 for a 2-day pass; children 12 and younger are free. Special Early Bird single day tickets can be purchased online at simicajun.org/ for $22 through April 15. After that date, tickets can be purchased online for $25. Note: only $30 single-day tickets will be available at the gate with cash and credit card being the acceptable forms of payment. The Festival also offers a limited number of SuperTicket passes for the Blues Stage. For $124 for a single day or $199 for both days, SuperTickets holders get a reserved seat, in the shade, directly in the front of the Blues Stage as well as private bar access (and two complimentary drinks) and other exclusive “backstage experiences.”
Location: Simi Valley – take the Stearns exit from the 118 freeway, head south and follow the signs.
